We Need Sponsors!
Over the last ten years we have established a reputation for hosting a high-quality regional tournament. This benefits our school in many ways. It improves our prestige in the ATA. It helps us attract new students and provides a unique learning opportunity for current students. The money we make helps us buy more equipment and improve our facility.

An event like this is very expensive, so we need you to sign up sponsors. Sponsors benefit through the advertising they
receive at the tournament. Please get your sponsor sign-up forms today.

Student of the Month
Donna Browne
Congratulations !!

Computers
If you have a computer that you no longer use (a Pentium I processor or better), please see Mr. Nelson.

Ten Tips for Higher Test Scores
  1. Read all directions.
  2. Look at the questions before you read a story or article so you know what to look for in the text.
  3. Look for key words (such as who, what, when, where, and why) to help you decide how to answer the questions.
  4. Use the parts of the question to help you plan your answer.
  5. Look at the text or other material to find the information you need.
  6. Think first, then write -- especially with essay questions.
  7. Write clearly and legibly. If the person scoring your test can't read your answer, you won't get any credit.
  8. Pay attention to how the test will be scored. On some standardized multiple choice tests it is a good strategy to guess at answers when you aren't sure, but on others there is a guessing penalty.
  9. Manage your time. Answer easy questions first, then come back to the hard ones.
  10. Check your work.

There will be three sessions in the 2001 Summer Camp:
Session 1: Jun 18 - Jun 22
Session 2: Jul 09 - Jul 13
